Great trip with wonderful guides, chefs and porters! Our trip up Mt. Meru with Richard, Paul, Kennedy, and all the guides and porters was excellent. Betheli Expedition staff catered to our every need and request with no complaints and always with a smile on their faces. We were a group of 12 women on our yearly trek together and we truly enjoyed ourselves! The food was excellent and Betheli catered well to the one vegetarian in our group. All of the guides were extremely accommodating and made sure that no one was left behind on summit night. We truly believe that without their words of motivation and helping hands both up and down the mountain many of us would have turned around early on. We highly recommend Betheli Expedition, our guide Richard and the entire staff! Goodluck, our Ranger on the mountain was also wonderful and we would highly recommend him for any future groups. A great trip to the top of Mount Meru Betheli organized a fantastic trek up to the top of Mount Meru at short notice. We were supported on the trip by a fantastic team - led by our guide Richard - who provided tasty food, carried everything we could possibly need, kept us going up the tricky climb, and even taught us some Swahili along the way! We made the final ascent to the summit through the night, making it to the top for a magnificent sunrise over Kilimanjaro. The climb was hard work in the cold and at high altitude, but the whole team was committed to making sure we made it. Would highly recommend it! Date of experience: March 2019- Ralph T

C'était donc sans aucun doute que nous sommes adressés à eux pour les parcs du sud. Tout a été très bien organisé, et ils ont été toujours à l'écoute pour les situations critiques (telles par exemple nos problèmes avec Air Tanzania). Jacqueline a été très réactive pour nous apporter son aide. Si nous devions retourner à l'avenir en Tanzanie, nous referons appel à eux en toute confiance. Incredible assistance and support from an incredible, wonderful Team. In February 2019 I traveled to Tanzania from Switzerland to reach the top of Africa with my wife and a Hungarian group. That was my first time in Africa and I did not know what to expect. I was prepared to take care of hygiene, eating, drinking, mosquitoes...etc. Arusha was a poor, simple and kind African city. I have met only very nice, friendly and somehow happy people. So we arrived at our hotel and the next morning the Betheli Expedition took us for a trip to a Maasai village. We had a great insider experience there, with great foods. (that time I still did worry a bit, but I tried everything). The next day the mountain guides arrived, collected us in a bus and took us to the Kilimanjaro National Park entrance. They were motivating us from the very beginning. On the bus trip, we experienced, that each of our guides made the summit many times in different routes and in incredibly short duration. They looked like an experienced team. At the entrance, we got our first lunch. One box filled with grilled chicken, fruit, cake, hamburger, chocolate... and I am sure that I have missed something. It was like a Swiss restaurant's party service box. Ok, that's for the first day I thought, but no! I really do not know how could they do it for 20 of us and additional for themselves, but on the mountain I felt like I would be in Austria or Switzerland, catered by a local restaurant or even much better. We got dishes which were very similar to ours in Europe, but richer. Vegetables I have never knew before. Fish on 2700m, meat on 3700m, pottage and eggs on 4700m, fresh porridge with honey, jam for breakfast...etc. If we had to wait for the meal they brought us popcorn. They took coffee and tea every morning in our bed. We do not need to care for drinking water, they took care of it continuously. Nobody was left alone. Our guides knew the mountain and its risks so much. They knew also all the tricks for avoiding mountain sickness or similar. Thank you, Richard, for building and directing this great team, and thank you, Emmanuel, to make all these possible.
