Mount Meru Trekking 4days of treks & 1night at the hotel
Mount Meru is one of the major attractions of Arusha National Park. The full ascent requires at least three days. The route takes climbers through a series of natural environments with a variety of flora and fauna and interesting mixture of nature and culture. It is recommended that you allow four days on the mountain for the full ascent in order to obtain acclimatization and avoid altitude sickness while enjoying the sunrise on both the summit and Rhino Point. During trekking, you will overnight in huts/wood designed house. Sleeping bag & sleeping mat it’s recommended.
Mount Meru trekking is highly recommended for the best result on Mount Kilimanjaro. Climb Mount Meru and get an opportunity to see wild animals such as giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, elephants, and baboons with an incredible panorama view of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will be accompanied by a park ranger for your safety.
Day 1- Arusha-Momela Gate to Miriakamba Hut (2514m).
This tour starts from Arusha- trek follows the trails, often well-used game routes, through the forest towards the crater floor, and then climbs steeply up to Miriakamba Hut. Buffalo may be seen just after Momela gate on the wide, open plain. Further on there is an impressive Fig Tree Arch, streams and waterfalls. Overnight at Miriakamba

Day 2- Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut (3570m)
Trek continues up to Elephant Ridge where lunch is taken and there are spectacular views down into the crater and up to the main cliffs below the summit. From Saddle Hut it will take you an hour to reach on top of little Meru it has an incredible scenic view of the summit and the sheer cliffs of the crater’s inner walls. It also recommended for acclimatization before attempting to socialism peak. Overnight at Saddle Hut.

Day 3- Saddle Hut to the peak (4566m) to Miriakamba.
Depart Saddle Hut around midnight to reach the summit for sunrise over Kilimanjaro. This exhilarating trek follows the narrow ridge between the sloping outer wall of the crater and the sheer cliffs of the inner wall. Take photos on the summit and descend to Saddle hut collect your belongings and proceed to descend. After taking photos on the summit descend to Saddle hut collect your belongings and continue to Miriakamba Hut for overnight.

Day 4- Miriakamba hut to Momela gate
After breakfast descends from Miriakamba Hut to Momela Gate for lunch or onwards to the hotel in Arusha for the shower and hot lunch. Depend on your schedule we may transfer you to the airport or spend a night at the hotel in Arusha and proceed with safari.
